Phallus amulets, ithyphallic gods (Min, Bes, Harpocrates) and the squatting, self-exposing Baubo figures of Ptolemaic and Roman Egypt, used for fertility, easy birth and laughter against evil.

Making yours

1–8 cm faience, terracotta or bronze. Baubo figures are mould-made terracotta, 5–10 cm.
