What it is

“Sky iron”: ancient bronze objects (buckles, mirrors, vajras, animals) found in fields and taken to be thunderbolts from the gods. They are worn for protection and never deliberately made.

Cast high-tin bronze pieces, 2–8 cm, heavily worn and patinated.
