Agnus Dei waxes

What it is
Discs of paschal-candle wax stamped with the Lamb of God and blessed by the Pope. They protected against storms, fire, plague and difficult childbirth, and were worn in cases or sewn into cloth.
Making yours
Wax discs 3–10 cm, mould-stamped. Held in silver or gilt capsule frames under glass, or in embroidered textile covers.
